When the hospital was opened on May the 3rd 1939
each of the guests at the dedication ceremony were presented
with
an

page booklet to commemorate the occasion. A copy of
this booklet has been sent to ForlornBritain.co.uk by Mr Mervyn
Portlock, Mervyn and his partner both worked at Barrow Hospital
for many years during the 1990's.
