Broomhill lido photographed in 1938, The original building was designed in the modern style which was typical of most 1930's Lidos and originally featured a clock tower which was later removed.

The Lido in 1938 as the construction work was nearing completion and before the pools were filled for the first time.

A photograph taken at the same time across the main pool towards the spectators grandstand. The passage in the centre of the block leads to the ladies cubicles and the structure at the top of the grandstand contains the spectators toilet facilities.

Cleaning the poolside in preparation for the 1965 season. The clock tower was still intact although the clock was no longer working and its hands have been removed also the original 1938 floodlights are still in place these were removed during the 1970's.

Repainting the diving boards before the lido opened for the 1965 season.

The kiddies pool in during the 1980's showing how popular the lido was during a hot summer.

The crowded sunbathing deck a perfect suntrap.

The summer crowd shows how busy the lido could be even as it neared its final years as a public swimming pool.
